Healthy does not mean shredded abs, nor does it mean an excess of body fat.

Healthy looks different for everyone, and it is not a one-size-fits-all approach.

For some people, a weight loss journey leads them to find their healthy state, while for others, a weight gain journey gives them health. Your physical appearance is not a direct reflection of your health, nor should it be used as a factor to determine this.

Fitness' influencers' with shredded abs often have their health struggles that are overlooked due to their appearance, just like ordinary people sitting at a more comfortable weight can instantly be accused of being unhealthy by their looks.

Now, being overweight/underweight is unhealthy; this has been proven over and over again, so it's not about overlooking the facts if you are in a position where you need to lose/gain a couple of kilograms, but do it to feel good from the inside out, not to look a certain way. I promise you that 'aesthetics' will follow. AND even more importantly, you will be stronger; you will have more energy, you will be nourished, your insides will thank you, and you will be HEALTHY. The moment you feel grateful for all that your body can do as opposed to emphasizing how it looks, you cannot ever look at your body in the mirror and have a negative thought about it.

I am a big advocate for all things self-love and acceptance; yes, love yourself as you are, accept yourself as you are, but don't overlook your health and the risks you might be facing. You can love yourself as you are right now and work on being a better you. And you do this because you love yourself and are worth being healthy. You only have one body.

Your weight does not matter …. AS LONG AS YOU ARE HEALTHY!

You could be heavier than you have been and be healthy physically and mentally, or you could have lost weight and be lighter than before and now have achieved a healthy state for you. Everyone wants a defined core, but what's it good for if your body is dying inside? Oh great, you look good in a bikini, but your hormones are whack, your organs don't function properly, you have zero energy, your brain won't work, and life is going downhill. What for? For a nice Instagram photo?

Health > anything.

Let's stop assuming that because a person looks a certain way, they are healthy or unhealthy; focus on your health from the inside out. How do you feel? Physically? Mentally? Do you feel good? Do you have energy? Are you constantly getting sick? Are you depriving yourself? Are you basing your fitness goals entirely on aesthetics? Are you nourishing your body as it needs to be nourished? How are you keeping up with life?

Health and fitness go way beyond having abs and a big butt; health and fitness are a lifestyle, being active, working towards a better you; your body is incredible. I am astonished every day by the capabilities of our bodies. Nourish it, give it love, move it, and train it to its potential; the rewards are beyond words.

Train to be better, to feel better, to move better, a healthy you, will look better than anything else you might wish to look like. So stop wishing to look like anybody else; you can't. You have your body, and it looks like you, so instead of wishing away, work to be healthy, move because you can, and I promise you will look incredible.

Discipline as an act of self love

I have learned that discipline is an act of self-love. When you push yourself to do things you know are good for you, even if you might not feel like it that day, that’s an act of self-love. Commitmen

Fear

Fear, by definition, is an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm. What is so terrifying in our life that leaves us stagnant in our journey? Like most of our thoughts, fear,

"Am I good enough?"

A lack of self-love and approval seems to be the root of our problems: our fears, our anxiety, many of our worries, and our self-sabotage. Why is our response to something "I'm not good enough", when
